FAQs

How do virtual and small group acting classes work?

All virtual classes take place on Zoom. Once you’re booked on, you’ll receive your login details and class time ahead of the session. Classes are led by experienced industry professionals and working actors who understand the realities of the business. Scripts and materials are shared through Dropbox, but there’s no pressure to prepare beforehand ,the focus is on learning, exploring and growing together in the session itself. Classes may include: Scene work, Acting exercises, Industry discussions, Guest visits from casting directors and professionals We’ll help you understand auditions, confidence in the room, and what to expect when working on set,  across everything from drama and soaps to horror, television and feature film.

How often are classes?

We run three terms each year, with ten lessons per term and holiday breaks in between.

How much is it and how can I pay?

The cost of our classes and programmes varies depending on the course. Payments can be made online, via BACS or by direct debit. For larger programmes, such as Small Group Acting or Industry Weeks, we also offer instalment payment options.

What happens if I miss a class?

Unfortunately, we’re unable to offer make-up sessions, so we ask students to join knowing they can commit where possible. That said, we completely understand that life, exams and schedules can sometimes get in the way.

Who teaches the classes?

All classes are taught by working industry professionals, many of whom are actors themselves. Their advice is current, practical and rooted in real experience.

Will I meet casting directors and directors?

Yes. We regularly welcome casting directors, directors and industry guests into our classes so students can gain real insight into the industry and the people within it.

How do I get signed by Mark Jermin?

The agency is completely separate to the acting school, although we do regularly scout talent through our classes. Joining classes is not a requirement to be signed, and attending classes does not guarantee representation.

Many of our students are signed with other agencies or are currently unrepresented, and everyone is welcome. Our training is focused on craft, skill and helping young performers become industry ready.

Does the agency team visit classes?

Once each term, members of the agency and management team sit in on classes. These are not auditions or showcases, simply an opportunity to connect, celebrate the work students are creating and answer any questions about the industry.

Of course, students have been scouted through classes before, but our main focus is creating an open and supportive environment where young performers can learn, grow and gain insight from agents actively working in the industry.

What’s the difference between Virtuals and Small Group Acting classes?

What’s the difference between virtuals and small group acting classes online or in person? Virtuals is our entry-level class. These classes are 1.5 hours long and involve larger groups where you’ll meet lots of other brilliant actors that are new to the industry and want to grow their confidence and learn the basics of what it means to be an actor. Small group acting is our advanced option for actors that really want to take their career seriously. Do really professional-level work and focus on growing their skills to where they can become a professional actor.
